Senseair S8-sensoren zijn ontworpen voor massa-productie met volledige traceerbaarheid via het sensorenserienummer in alle productieprocessen en belangrijke onderdelen. Elk sensor wordt individueel gekalibreerd en is uitgerust met een UART-digitale interface. De sensor is onderhoudsvrij en heeft een geschatte levensduur van meer dan 15 jaar.

Het komt in verschillende varianten, de residentiële variatie is bedoeld voor residentiële IAQ-toepassingen, een commerciële
variatie voor strengere eisen en een lage-energieversie voor toepassingen met energielimieten.
